Remember this ?
« on: April 11, 2013, 01:45:57 PM »
I remember that a goblins song tape was released back in the days, maybe around early 90's.
Don't know if it was GW or another brand.

Does anyone remember it...or was it a dream  ;D  lol ?

thanks for your help and memories

There were those light-hearted games GW did years ago that came with tapes of singing goblins or trolls or something. Oi Dat's My Leg and the like.

I remember a Warhammer Records tape but thought that was only 40K by D-Rok featuring Brian May (yes he himself).

Only fantasy song I know of is a certain Hobbit song by a Leonard some-one or other that I wish I could erase!  Warning you may not want to follow this

Unfortunately those who remember it being released have had it in their heads since 1968

That really freaked me out - Leonard Nimoy is creepy!!  :o

Was that a "serious" attempt at song writing or was he taking the piss?

On a similar note, Bolt Thrower were quite closely tied to GW in the early 90's.

Have a look at the covers for Realm Of Chaos and War Master.

There was even a vinyl single that came with one issue of WD.

pointing film cameras at people produces strange results and one of the creepiest industries of the 20th century...
I wonder when this is going to change, this cashing in on the celebrity status.....

Ragnar,

Bolt Thrower was great! I still have an old Warmaster tour shirt somewhere...

The flexi-disc that came with an issue of White Dwarf was by Sabbat, though, unless Bolt Thrower did one later on that I don't know about. The song was "Blood for the Blood God," and as I remember I got about a dozen plays out of the thing before the sound quality degraded to hissing, popping and crackling. Of course, back then I didn't know much about how to set up a turntable or care for records...

Good times, for gaming and metal!

But Bolt Thrower was in there somewhere. Maybe as a whole page ad or something but I thought also as a single.
