Eureka British Army 1960s
« on: April 14, 2013, 01:18:50 AM »
Nic Robson asked me to post a photo of Kosta's latest gems, British Army figures in tropical kit and lightweight belt order for the '60s. Suitable for Aden, Borneo and wherever else you might fancy fielding them. These are the bush hatted version, they are to be followed by examples in beret and for those Mad Mitch fans out there, glengarried versions suitable for the Argyles in Aden in 1967. I suspect folk will find plenty of uses for these, I'll wager the bereted versions end up in more than one Doctor Who game for example.

Nic will be bringing twelve sets (seven figures per set) to Salute so if you want some it's first in best dressed.

Apologies for the crap photo. Windows 8 makes fiddling with the photos from my digital a pain for me so I've just used the iPad.

Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

They look excellent!  :)

Score one for us 'caggy-handers' too, you don't see many of us in miniature form.  lol

The sculptor is currently researching tribal insurgents for the Radfan.

I just picked up some of the Eureka Zanzibari slavers and you, know with a little green stuff and some wepaons swaps they should make reasonable proxies until the actual ones arrive. Artizan have some useful partisan figures that may work for FLOSY and the NLF.

Nic should really try to get Kosta on other commisions such as VSF or Old West. 'Cause these makes my wallet scream in aganony, and the only remedy is to buy, buy and buy :-*

Should have asked earlier - are the beret versions the same with just a head change or are they going to be different figures?

Any chance that some could be wearing the typical British Army woolly-pully?

Thanks everyone for your comments. The Aden/Yemen insurgency has long interested me and this will be the first release for a small but growing range. As stated, some hill tribesmen are in the works too.

There might be a couple of head swaps, but in general the future sets of Brits will utilise the same dollies as the first set, so will certainly not all be straight head-swaps. You can expect some 'in action' poses too, but all in good time!
No plans for wooly jumpers.

Beautiful stuff.  I'm eventually going to get into 28mm moderns, so I'll be grabbing some of these when I have the coin.  Great stuff.
