Empress 88mm gun and crews.
« on: April 14, 2013, 12:55:00 PM »
Hi,

We have the 88mm AA gun, also used as long range artillery in the SCW, with two types of crew.

The first crew represents a Nationalist crew with German advisor. This is based on photographs taken during the conflict.

Of course this crew can be used as late WW2 Volksturm or even drop into a vBCW scenario. Hows that for starting an arms race.

The second crew is of the Condor Legion. This crew can also be used for early WW2 Luftwaffe.

The gun with shield and relevant bits for use in WW2. It also comes with lots of extra bits such as shells and shell containers.

Pre orders are recommended for Salute to avoid disapointment.

See you there,

Paul

Great looking model - you might want to sneak out a DAK crew as well as that seems to be the 'next big thing'!

Indeed, you should "ride the wave" too. People will start looking for nice North Africa stuff soon enough ;)

The information was on their site.
It is in 28mm and it costs £25.
So the very same as your friends at Warlord!  ;)

Empress is quality product I wouldn't judge by a few weeks in waiting. Apart from that I don't really know who is faster....

PDE,

Love this and good to see the SCW range still expanding. I saw the 88mm on Nigelh's blog http://nigelh-viewfromtheduckpond.blogspot.co.uk a couple of months ago and have been converting it ever since.  The 2 crews are genius but can we have the crews separate to the gun as well?  As this would fit in with a duel use philosophy I have decided to take with my VBCW gaming ie where ever possible make forces interchangeable with Spanish civil war forces to allow both conflicts to be gamed.

NWF troops are smashing as well but waiting for the Brits before I jump into this.

PS please Strong arm Nigel for some of the other stuff he is hiding in the duck pond, the bus and Breda turret for the Panzer 1A would be an tremendous start.

Regards

Jim
