The giant robot says 1995 Marvel on one foot and Toy Biz Inc. on the other. As I mentioned he is actually green:

The dock bits are Forster Skinny Craft Sticks from Michaels with matchsticks for the cross beams with random 1/4th doweling. The stir sticks came rounded, cost about $5 CAD for 75.

I built the vertical pieces of the deck by laying one of the stir sticks down, marking 1 1/8 intervals and then gluing them with white glue. Then I added the cross braces. For the deck, I lined a whole bunch of them up and then glued to the two ends on. Next time I would have taped the pieces to keep them shifting.

I have now finished the dock (at least the main part):

I also purchased two vehicles from the 2nd hand store. The first is a truck:

As you can see, it is missing its tires. Any recommendations?

And the 2nd is a Tiger tank:

It is missing its treads. Any suggestions on how to find/create decent looking treads without going insane??

It is relatively easy to make some new tires out of green stuff - just keep the tread pattern to a few simple grooves.

Good treads are hard. I'd use some large rubber bands painted and dry brushed and then add some skirting to the tank.

And the 2nd is a Tiger tank:

Pedantic warning, thats a Panzer 4 not a Tiger. The good thing is the crew won't be inhaling as much petrol fumes in a Tiger. lol
Great docks, love your work. 8)

Ok, Panzer IV it is.

As for the wood, I actually bought balsa from the hobby store for the uprights. I have never seen good round pieces of wood in a dollar store.

Thanks for the suggestions. I wonder if I could take a rubber band and glue little bits of wood on it for the front and underside (covering the top side) to make it look more like treads.

I had this toy as a kid! Your picture tripped a Proust-like bout of memory. The original tracks were rubbery stuff and always coming off.

My suggestion would be to convert it into a burned-out wreck, complete with sniper pit or machinegun post underneath it.
