Great painting - and a good review too.
I agree, the Warlord plastic figures are very expensive compared to other (better) plastics, and the figures are not really that good or with that much variety.
Although your paintwork has made them look a lot better than they probably deserve  ;)

Indeed, it seems Warlord are making a concentrated effort to change the pricing policy of historical plastics. Let's hope Perry stick to their guns with their great value, combined with their great quality. Warlord are lucky that most of their ranges don't cross over, as quality-wise they can't compete and their prices are getting silly. But then they are all ex-GW  ::)

Sorry to derail the thread. To reiterate, amazing painting and you have made these look great. I also quite like the Marius-Augustus era of Roman history. A lot happens in that period that would make great wargaming scenarios.

Crumbs – those are tasty paint jobs!

They're all good but I particularly like the armour on the centurion.  8)

Thanks so much everyone! Really appreciate your support. :)
People's reaction to this (a modest, not-much-fun piece of work, at least regarding those plastics) has almost made me reconsider my schedule which saw them Romans pushed pretty far down the list. So, please bear with me, it's maybe sooner than later…
