I had read on someone's blog that the Perrys were releasing new boxes, excellent to see a little preview.
Best get saving now.

I thought we may get a few more metals, but this? I am going to have to re-plan my painting schedule to ensure I get these into my collection. When he say 'within the year' I do hope Michael means calendar year. I also hope there will be standard bearers options included, if not I'm sure they will prove adaptable to become such. Guess I'm just painting bills and bows for a while, leaving some gaps to be filled later.

Super news! Although I had hoped they would make knights of a slightly earlier period to enable me to build some Grand Compagnies men of Bertrand du Guesclin. But let's see what content will be in the boxes ...

14th century knights would be nice.
But it is better if they finish off the ranges that they have already started.

Honestly I was surprised to see them. Given that they have made a lot of metal foot knights for the WoTR range - maybe 50 or so metal figures. But obviously Michael believes there's a market for more - perhaps for the modellers amongst us  :)

Yes Steve - and yours. He said he'd enjoyed seeing pictures of our WOTR battles on LAF - very complimentary about the conversions and the scenery. Which is nice :)
We'd better do another one ;)

Plastic Desert Rats are now Available and we now have PayPal!

Desert Rats 1940-43
28mm Hard Plastic figures
A complete platoon can be put together from the box with HQ section. There are also 18 heads with Arab headdresses and cap comforters that you can use to convert the figures into SAS or Long Range Desert Group.
There are 38 figures, 32x 20mm circular bases, 4x 40mm square (for support teams) plus notes of platoon organisation in the box. The figures are hard plastic and 28mm tall. They’re intended for gaming in the Western Desert, Sicily and around the Mediterranean as well as potentially Burma in 1942.
The code is WW 1 (yes, I know, it’s a bit odd!) and the price is £18 +p&p.
Also when you buy 3 or more plastic sets you will receive a FREE Monty and Brigadier!
We also have a Bren gun carrier and the first of the WW2 Italian metal codes available.
Over the next few days you'll see the first of the amazing 1/56 scale Blitzkrieg resin tanks designed specifically to go along side our WW2 range. These will be available in early May from Blitzkrieg and ourselves. There will also be pictures of our next plastics (shown at Salute) and large resin figure. Six new Retreat from Moscow codes will also be up this week with Napoleonic Austrian artillery and caissons following up.
............and by popular demand we now have PayPal !!!

All the best
Michael Perry

I think the price is the reason. Plastic is definitly cheaper than metal. And for the big battles you need a lot of tiny soldiers...
And for the guys converting stuff it is easier with plastic.

Oooh that is nice  :D

And yes we have to do another - if I had a deadline then I'd work towards it  :D ;)

I still have a fortified manor on my radar but also need to finish more foot.

I also fancy that 1943 Sicily project I mentioned to you - a lot less minis though  lol

Boy the Medieval period is just awash with fantastic minis (and yes I'm a fan of nicely priced modular plastic sets).  I don't even game the period, but I'm tempted to start...
