 :o :o :o

Bloody hell!

With typical Shed efficiency, the box is not only 'built' out of MDF already but it looks great too!
 :-* :-* :-*

Well done, that man!

I havent even started yet but was planning to make a start next week, and now I cant find the miniatures that I put aside for this....DOH!

Got B&Q to cut all the pieces so it was nice and straight after that it was just a case of adding hinges and screwing it all together.

mrs shed is working kids are happy amusing themselves and I've been building scenery all day. Just finished 10 stands of palm trees.

Have also wallpapered several sheets of wall paper for seascape around treasure island. With a bit of luck migt get first coat of paint on tonight >:(

genius idea, but how are the hinges going to effect the playing surface?

What if you were to use cloth hinges instead? Then they'd be totally flush with the playing surface.

Hi Folks

More progress on the Papisse Challenge.

First up the Volcano has been moved and fixed to one of the side edges. There just would not have been enough gaming room.

I also decided that a flat surface was boring so a few rises in the ground were added. More rock will be loose on the surface - but later. The Dino is a toy from Papo.

Once the rises were dry I covered the whole thing in PVA follwed by sand and ballast.

The first coat of paint has gone on but I'll save this for the next post...

Excellent job ! I like the idea.
But i'm asking myself ; "why to put the hinges into the box ?" You could reverse the hinges and put them outside the box, keeping your playing area clear from them...isn't It ?

Not in any way wanting to put a downer on this one... but those corner pieces do fit inside the box, right? Just with the scenic scatter it looks quite tight.
I'm loving it, by the way. Your moving along nicely!
