Purgatory, Arizona
« on: April 23, 2013, 03:40:46 PM »
All,
So here are the buildings to get my games started.  I will add a cattle ranch and some outlying homes at some point.  But here is Purgatory, Arizona, within spittin' distance of Tombstone.  Take a wrong step in Purgatory, and you know where you'll end up. :)

Really?  Same thing I did the other day, and every one was able to see them.

I figure that those will serve as the "main" town buildings.  I have some cabins from my F&IW games for the outskirts.

Isn't it actually called Phoenix, Arizona? I was there in 1990 and I think Purgatory was a far more apt descriptor.

By the time I get to Phoenix she'll be rising
She'll find the note I left hangin' on her door
She'll laugh when she reads the part that says I'm leavin'
'Cause I've left that girl so many times before

By the time I make Albuquerque she'll be working
She'll prob'ly stop at lunch and give me a call
But she'll just hear that phone keep on ringin'
 Off the wall that's all

By the time I make Oklahoma she'll be sleepin'
She'll turn softly and call my name out loud
And she'll cry just to think I'd really leave her
Tho' time and time I try to tell her so
She just didn't know I would really go.

You know, the hard part of getting Purgatory, Arizona, to look right will be modeling the steep chasm of the grand canyon - you know, the part it existed on before it slipped down into the bottom of the canyon.  You can still hike down and rummage through the ruins.  But it's not for the faint of heart, no trails since it's considered a hazardous area.
