My foray in 15mm skirmish *New 30/9/13 Wolves*
« on: April 26, 2013, 12:51:29 AM »
So when I saw Ral Partha Europe was doing skirmish packs of the demonworld figs I got excited. While waiting for my order to show up I put this bunch together from some odds and ends laying around( also known as I have no idea where or when I got them)

And a blog where I'm chronicling my adventures http://imp522adventuresinminiatures.blogspot.com/

Great paint job on these Imp, I really like the grey/dirty/white! I don't know where you bought them but they are nicely sculpted; I hope someone here recognizes them. What rules are you going to be using?

Thanks Damien, quite happy with how they turned out
They're from the old Metal Magic Demonworld range now owned by Ral Partha Europe.

Rule wise, probably a variety to begin with. I have and like Ganesha Games Song of Blades and Hero's which is great for a quick pick me up game.
I'll give them a run through the old TSR Battlesystem's Skirmish rules, Reaper's Warlord which I also like quite a bit.
I have Alternative Armies Darkstorme on the way too, but really don't know a ton about it.  Then possibly Mordheim as well , what I like most about Mordheim is the way warbands change with injuries and experience. Reality is not tied right now to any one set and open to other's I haven't mentioned as well.

SoBH is pretty cool, I also think Battlesystem skirmish is underrated, I don't know anything about Warlord. Is it easy to pick up, do the warbands gain experience like in Mordheim?

Warlord is pretty easy to pick up, reaper has a link on their site for an online army builder. Everything is on a stat card you can print. I think it's pretty easy to pick D10 based things die quickly if your not careful. They don't have anything in there for the models to gain experience.

From reaper miniatures, looks better with 15's then the bigger scales IMHO

Want apparently something better than Mordheim try Coreheim apparently smoother cutting out much that is perhaps unnecessary? Anyway love the little mights and the idea of skirmish gaming with small scales is very appealing.

That 'young' dragon from Reaper is sweet! I think he is one of your best yet (and he does look better with 15s).

The Little Warriors look TERRIFIC as does their Scaly Adversary. It never ceases to amaze me the WONDERFUL brushwork that you younger Forum Folk lavish on these tiny creations. VERY WELL DONE!

Demonworld Dwarf War Golem, most likely use them as a mercenary unit.

Coreheim might be good but seing as they kept it to only the original races it means no dwarves or elves or... well anything other than humans skaven and undead, I think the same can be said for heroheim.

Warheim looks better but unfortunately it only exisits in Polish :(

While the Dwarfs may edge out the Living Impaired Guys for favorites, they are all FINELY DONE pieces. TERRIFIC WORK!
