The Failure of Ivan Juztukov...
« on: April 26, 2013, 05:00:16 PM »
...Or the Rape of Sher Li. Being a brief photomontage of a recent Back of Beyond game at Phil's OHQ. All the terrain, figures, vehicles and the like from Phil's wonderful collection ~

The forces of General Byklizki advance on Sher Li...

As you can see, "Advance" is a relative term, slow progress in the early turns was to prove decisive later...

After loosing his way for four turns Ivan Juztukov approaches Sher Li on a bombing run...

The Bolshevik armoured car pays the price of its unsupported attack on Sher Li...

Bolshevik cavalry fail to assault Wun Ung Lo's HQ...

Exile to Siberia awaits failed Generals it is said, if they are lucky...

Looks like a fun battle, makes me want to paint up more White and Red Russians.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice little punch up that with some superb painted minis.
I like the terrain...are those carpet tiles that have been re-shaped and blended with the modular elements  ???

Really nice - love the shot behind the biplane. I'd love to play a game with a plane!!  :)

It is green towelling oversprayed with car paint, stuck to MDF boards with PVA.

Lovely game, and as has been said terrain.  The effect achieved with the green towelling is marvellous, as are the minis, buildings and the plane.  Lovely!  :-* :-* :-*

Very nice pics and punny names.  :)

It is green towelling oversprayed with car paint, stuck to MDF boards with PVA.

It gives an excellent result. I'll try this.  :)
