Military review in the Barryat of Lyndonia
« on: April 27, 2013, 02:23:48 PM »
A military parade of the entire army of my ‘imagi-nation’, the Barryat of Lyndonia, has been long overdue.  But today some lovely autumn light for picture-taking inspired me to set out and photograph all the 1/56th scale Minden Minatures figures I’ve painted so far.

To fill in those who don’t know about the Barrayat of Lyndonia, it is an imagi-nation I’ve created for my wargaming army, based on the famous Stanley Kubrick movie, 'Barry Lyndon'.

Lovely work and the lighting is perfect for outdoor photgraphy of minis, it can be at most times a chellenge when taking pics outdoors.

Now I am going to see if this movie is available for purchase.

Your figures look great, as if I did not already say.    :-*

Thanks, Painter Jim.

My hobby photography is very hit or miss.  I think it is the light the makes the difference for outdoor photography of miniatures.  Yesterday was quite a nice autumn day, with the light neither too bright nor too dull.

The movie Barry Lyndon should be easy to obtain.  It is a lovely movie, even though it is quite long and slow.  Every shot is exquisite.  A movie to savour at length.
