My fear exactly.  Me and CA don't get along in the best of times.

Though, if I mount it on a truck, the chassis is unnecessary so that should eliminate at least 5 of those resin bits ;)

Sounds like a good start!  Only other option would be a ZPU-2, less bits, but still look good...

Gran models from Russia do a 1/72 (20mm) plastic ZPU 23mm in plastic. I picked two up from Ian Allan publishing for £8 each

Thanks Ste long 1971 I'll check it out.

I got some of the new packs from Under Fire. These were from the PATU set, I bought two sets, so had a go at some Brit Infantry in Borneo with the spares.

@ juergen: also a lot easier to paint!

Turned some spares into more RhSAS. RLI MAG with added pack, couple of RAR with head swaps for filed down Elhiem Israeli helmets, PATU bloke with extra chest rig, arm/weapon swap so now sporting an AK

Vehicle are all from S&S.

Rhodesian army 'Puma', based on (I believe) a Bedford RL



Rhodesian army 'Scorpion' mortar carrier, another great use for a Unimog.
Troops are from the RAR range from Under Fire.

the puma was based on a merc or Nissan commercial truck chassis and has only 2 wheel drive.
there are bedford rl conversions and john has asked us to do some sometime
