Has anyone played Deus Vult?
« on: May 02, 2013, 08:38:03 PM »
Has anyone played Deus Vult, please? I've read several "thoughts after reading the book" but can't find any after action reports or reviews by someone who has actually played.

I have read the articles in WSS & WI but would really like to hear from some gamers.

Many thanks

Same here, I'm afraid. I purchased the rulebook when it was first released & personally thought it looks like a really good game with some original new ideas. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have taken off & nobody I know is interested in actually giving it a whirl on the table. From what I've read, a lot of people seem to be put off by the pre-battle stage, which makes up quite a sizeable chunk of the game itself. Shame really as it adds a real twist to the usual 'throw your armies on the table & have at it' kind of games I'm used to playing.

So far the only game report I can find is the one in the rulebook itself  :(
...and what fresh new hell is this?
