He's a Sloppy Jalopy driver with his feet trimmed I believe.

Edit: Yep, this guy, although he may actually have had feet added looking at this pic from their site :)

Well gents the Gruffalo is a plastic toy - it is sold with a pencil inserted in its backside!

OK Now that my grandsons have seen this - where are they on sale?

Gamers, what are we like eh?  :o

The most magnificent terrain for a splendid day's gaming and what do we obsess over - a pen top Gruffalo...

That's decided it, my next skirmish game will be based on Where the Wild Things Are vs. The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

I bought this game for just such a thing.  The figures are hard plastic and just right scale wise.  Immanently repaintable.

Hi Gents
The Gruffalo is from Waitrose supermarkets (They do not have any other figures...)
The driver of the trike is fron Sloppy Js - he had no feet. The 'crew' of Chitty are also from Sloppy Js

Good spot, Orctrader.
I completely missed that in the pics.
I have one of those carriages in the cupboard somewhere in need of a suitable driver.

Nice one, Dewbakuk for the info.
 :)
