VBCW Game at Legionary Exeter
« on: 05 May 2013, 11:45:07 AM »
Myself and Tym put on a VBCW game based in East Devon at Legionary Exeter yesterday. The BUF supporters from Sidmouth had decided to try and take the Albertine stronghold of Exmouth but their plan was leaked to the Albertines who sent a force to intercept them outside the coastal village of Budleigh Salterton...

The field of battle

The Albertines take to the field

The Albertine command consisting of princess Elizabeth, her advisor (just known as the doctor), Colonel McCormac (retired from service in India), Captain Hobbs and the colonels personal Sikh guard

The Sidmouth BUF appear led by Lord and Lady Chuffington-Smythe and Spode with his Black Shorts

The BUF land troops via the sea

Including armed women! This was seen as damned unsporting as 'a gentleman does not fire on womenfolk sir!'

Unfortunately the Albertine air support didn't see that is was women coming off the boats...

The Albertines managed to force the BUF back with the arrival of the armoured train and heavy armour

Some more general pictures of the day

I, for one, am glad to see the women there! I hope they took advantage of the men's squeamishness.   ;)

Great stuff.  Thanks for posting.

Love the upturned bathtub on the trolley with the MG sticking out. VBCW at its finest.

Excellent game.  Loved the women's unit getting the men in a twitter and the milk float unit - presumably led by good ole Ernie himself!!  Fantastic fun.
