That is the challenge to campaign games.

If you are referring to my Cthulhu Invictus RPG campaign then yes unfortunately.

A player integral to the whole affair (ie venue, the other players etc) decided he just didn't want to play anymore.  :'(

A real shame really, it was going along nicely - big waste of my time in the end - but at least I got to play a bit.   :-[
At least you got further than I. I couldn't convince anyone to play. :?

shame it came to an end. I used to listen to it while painting. Could hear the frustration in your voice the last couple of chapters though. The investigators just didn't seem to want to go to Crete.

Just over a year since I posted here, :o, but I have made some developments towards running some 18th century horror games.

Namely in the form of some buildings:

More on the blog, along with how I stole Captain Richards' method for using textured paper as brickwork.

Really, really nice buildings Frank ;D

They look just the part for a bit of supernatural shenanigans in the C18th. :-*

Are the games going to be just Zombie based or do you have other nasties to throw into the mix?

Those buildings look top notch!
Do you have/use templates or just wing it and go for broke?

It's quite easy to add bits to the Mantic zombies and ghouls:

Mixed in with Victrix napoleonic parts (mainly heads and a few arms) or with tissue paper kilts.
Players get taken by surprise when zombies shoot at them (although whether they can re-load is a different question)

Gaming, especially running a campaign, is never a waste of time or effort!  If nothing else you learn the rules (or the parts of them you choose to use plus GM created aspects) better and give your creative muscles a work-out.

Glenn

Thanks all for the kind and encouraging words.  :)

Are the games going to be just Zombie based or do you have other nasties to throw into the mix?

I see a bit of this kind of action too Nick.  ;)

My original plans were for a zombie apocalypse on the Continent after the Seven Years War, akin to the fluff in Pike & Shot & Zombie, but I also fancy a bit of real monster hunting akin to a Brotherhood of the Wolf type scenario. I still haven't worked out exactly what rules would achieve either of these goals.

Do you have/use templates or just wing it and go for broke?
I made some templates in MS Office Visio, which if there is any interest I could make available. Nothing special at all, but a time saver for sure.

It's quite easy to add bits to the Mantic zombies and ghouls
The Mantic zombies and ghouls are fantastic. They paint up easily and look great. I have thirty more to be based and painted!
