Some Inspiration for Trash Bashing.
« on: May 10, 2013, 05:23:08 AM »
Here are a couple of great sites that show some serious trash bashing.

First up is Leland Erikson's blog:

Leland is a mad genius and one of the fellows behind Metal Express. He seems able to crank out armies of vehicles over night. I'm always impressed by his usage of craft store items and found packaging.

Next is John Douglass's artships.com:
http://www.artships.com/

There's nothing posted for 2013 yet but this site is chock full of inventive ship designs and creative usages of random items. John has been doing this for a while and approaches his builds as art projects as much as hobby models.

Be sure to check out Trash Bash 2013 and good luck!

Somehow, the fact that Lee Erikson is judging is the most nerve-wracking thing about the whole contest. He taught me a lot about painting when I was in high school; I remember there used to be a case full of figures he'd painted at my FLGS.
