I've had to revise the second gun carriage as the original was too wobbly. This will be the cupola of it. I've just plasticard' around a matchbox and glued a magnet on the slider section. Note I haven't put the side bits on yet. They'll go on last then it'll be glued to the roof.

And here's the second carriage with cupola and 75mm.  This will also have a Wirbelwind AA gun eventually as a magnetic option.

And for those WW2 games I also need a more modern turret.  This will go on the other armoured carriage eventually.

Again, the turret has a magnetic 2p attached to it's underside.  It's a spare Solido another forum member kindly gave me.

Well I finally had a game with the train.

http://www.edinburghwargames.com/Journal%2083.htm

Scroll past the awesome Waterloo game and my little train is there.

It's been great fun and I now intend to try an armoured boat for ww2 Russians and some sort of boat for indo china. I think I'm addicted to plasticard.

In summary.

2 train sets @ £5.99 each = £11.98
3 pieces plasticard = £3.25
2 x Paint (tamiya Olive Drab 2 = £12.50
2 x pencil sharpeners = £2.50
1 brown paint from Halfords = £5.99
Vallejo us green £2.50

Total = £35.72 and I've still a bunch of paint and card left over.  And a train, tender and carriage.

This was my first ever build and a learning experience (as well as a lot of fun). Thanks to everyone for the encouragement.  LAF is a fantastic forum :).
