Ha! That makes me want to actually open my big Robogear box!

Nothing has ever come of the several models I've bought; they just seem silly, but I bought seeing there's marvelous bitz a-waiting the mining. Several of the tracked vehicles seem apropos of conversion to 15mm leviathans.

I did some walkers using the Sentinel:

I rotated the cab and made a boiler tank to fit in and added a new cockpit on the front for the pilot.

I was thinking of something closer to a ripley exo skeleton with light weapons, don't want anything too powerful.

The Westwind one will be perfect for this. It has two big grab 'hands'. Just add the extra weapons as required.

Like the converted Sentinel!

How about this old figure from Warzone.

The head is separate. I replaced mine with kepi head for the ACW by GASLIGHT

You chaps are absolutely spiffing!

When we wrote the mechanical walker rules Charles was concerned that we would one day see players having 1000 point Walker-only engagements, to which I replied "if we build it they will come".  lol

One could have an annual  Inventor's Tourney, in which various walkers are presented and pitted against one another to win military contracts... a bit like the Farnborough Air Show. Or underground civilian walker prize fights.

Its a 1/32 scale Ma.K's I. Got a couple from commander viper. Search for MA.k on the web, a Japanese toy figure. You used to be able to buy them in bulk online. I have a second one converted still waiting to finish it and paint it.
I used the first one for an LPL entry.

That is a lovely job you have done with that, gamer Mac.
Great LPL entry too, a really nice scene.
Love the rank markings on the arm, too.
 :-*

There are plenty of options out there for conversion.
Legionnaire Bert has converted one of these for his British force:

http://privateerpress.com/warmachine/gallery/cygnar/warjacks/sentinel

It is a plastic kit, so easily chopped.
It is a little large, so I think it will be a heavy walker.
Pics of that soon when we play our next game, as he wants to use it!

I am going to convert some of these:

Mage Knight Steam Golems.
Much smaller than the above kit.
I am going to try having a chap driving it like the industrial one in the rulebook.
Fingers crossed.

That SF3D walker IS amazing! And, the kits were out of production for so long, they were sorely missed, and rather expensive, 'til recently. Delighted to see such an excellent reason for their reappearance.

Wow, Craig, until now, I didn't KNOW there were walker rules. Puts a rather different idea of the game to me. But, that happened when I heard of non-urban adventures.

This being late to the party is starting to be a drag.

As for walkers, I tend to prefer multi-legged, and there's a Robogear six-legged beasty that now calls. Though, my Cubix 12" Kolossos hasn't gone dwarven yet. I suppose if anyone local does Prussian, I may offer his services...

There weren't any rules for walkers until Osprey shared a piece of artwork with us showing a civilian walker. It sure set the old cogs whirring and before we knew it a whole slew of walkers had appeared.

It is worth noting that these are VSF walkers, not steampunk. They are nowhere as sophisticated, but they do have their place.

On the topic of walker rules, most of them come with Steam Fists. I haven't as yet found what a Steam fist does, as it's not in the Fighting or Weird Science equipment lists.
