Oil grab game from Turin, early 2004.  Oil drills all scratch built by various League members.  The eagle eyed amongst you will spot the worlds first helicopter, an Austrian invention, from 1916.  Hannants had the kit at the time.  Happy Days

Very nice and inspiring.

I've got Reds, Whites, Chinese, English and allies and Turks. A few trucks from disney's Atlantis, some of Jens lovely Tanks, if I stay here long enough I'll hopefully get some painted and posted.

Thanks for sharing; great stuff.

More fantastic stuff there.

I can't get enough of looking at your pictures. Actually I've just started collecting Back of Beyond. I've been interested in it for a while but your pics really inspired me to go out and start buying some.

How frickin´ awesome!!! :o

Woof. I´m left speechless. That helicopter is lovely, but my personal favourite would be the Medium B (or is that C? getting a bit confused with the Marks of those). And the remote air vehicle (read pilotless monoplane). ;) Just kidding, of course.

Those oil racks are very nice. I remember building some of that general style as a kid for use with our Playmobil cowboys.

Its a medium C (I think).  Yet another discontinued line from HLBS.  I drilled a load more guns in it than it should have been - a proper battle wagon.  Good point re the pilotless drones, its been a source of angst for me for years.  Have currently got a good man on the case!

There are still a couple of games to load if there's any interest.  Will take a couple of weeks to sort.

Good Lord!

Is that Mata Hari loitering on the balcony? If so, it's a remarkable piece of luck to get her on camera.

Fantastic game! It seems the whole world sent a detachment in to grab some oil :)

What rules do you use?

Yes, she just popped out for a rest.  The Anatolian Grenadier Shock Division was taking its toll by this time!!!

Re rules, our own, which are (very) loosely based on 'Contemptible little Armies'. 5 pages in all, plus tank/AC stats.

I'll load them if someone tells me how to!!!

Onwards!

Another amazing game.

Where did you get the town buildings from (including the one with Mata Hari)?

The town buildings are all Faller, in HO scale.  Far too small for 28mm in reality, but en masse perfect.
