Denizens of Gierburg [Updated 03/05/15]
« on: May 27, 2013, 11:25:54 PM »
A while back I painted up some Warlord ECW stuff for Cianty's Gierburg project, a fictional city and it's colourful characters. Here's a quick reminder for anyone who didn't see them on the flouncy shirts board.

Anyway, I've started another commission for some assorted Gierburg characters and the first few are a couple of LAM merchants and two Outpost Wargame Services footpads (painted as members of the feared 'Messengers of Death' hence the red face masks).

There's also a bounty hunter which Cianty sculpted himself. It's his first full sculpt (the face is a pre-cast head though) so be nice. To be honest it's pretty bloody good considering, especially when stuff not as good is touted for sale elsewhere so hopefully he'll have a stab at a second sculpt.

More stuff to do throughout the week (mostly more ne'er do wells) so I'll update as I go.

Ooh I remember seeing that sculpt on Cianty's blog a year or two ago. It looks awesome painted up. This is such stellar brushwork.  Looking forward to seeing the rest.

Cheers folks  :)

I think with enough encouragement Cianty might be persuaded to have a stab at another sculpt. Hope he does.

As always stunning paintwork! You really have a nack for painting.

And Cianty's sculpt is very nice, hopefully we'll see more from him. It looks a to be on par with many sculpts, so there'snothing to be ashamed of with it.

So you're the culprit whose been churning of Chris' GREAT LOOKING minis. Since he hasn't been exercising his own considerable skills, it's good to see he's found a talented collaborator. Your pieces are LOVELY; i.e., fine brush work & basing with a subdued choice of colors. VERY WELL DONE!
