In that attempt to augment what was missing, I did the Iron Brigade and some cavalry I'll post here later.

Not too dull or too bright - they (both sets) look beautiful.

The dead grass colour really work.  I had never considered that as an option.

Ya - every bit of our ACW stuff is on dry grass like that. It is a bit unconventional but I like it. I actually still have a division or two for both sides to do up so I'll probably continue it as before - maybe more patchy instead of evenly carpeted though.

We didn't have tufts then either so I might put those down in the future to to break it up a bit.
