I painted a few more Arbites and finally got around to photographing them.

I am very fond of these old sculpts.  Nostalgia can trick the mind and senses, but in this case I reckon the sculpts still cut the mustard.

I have a few more notes and images about these guys in the blog post, which can be seen HERE if any of you are interested.

Thanks for looking!

I have never seen these Arbites before. I like them, they are not OTT.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

I've been busy with Arbites too recently, so I'm happy to see you additions, they look smashingly impressive in those colours!

Nicely done mate! And an interesting wee back story about them on your blog! 8)

My favourite Arbites are the slightly older ones, that’s why the guy with the silver helm and baton I find best. :-*

Great brushwork and a cracking idea with the rookies.
 :-* :-*

Funnily enough, I have just read this quote you made back in January 2014 and it made me chuckle.....

I always wanted to pick up a few, but never managed it somehow.  They are kind of superfluous when I have MC1 Justice Department figures painted, but it wouldnt take much for me to pick up some of those figures

...we all do this kind of thing, don't we?
 :D

Busted.  I'll leave with what little dignity I have left...   lol

Thanks vodkafan!

The leader has a large feathered bird on his head, which is certainly a bit OTT, but I dod try to make them look at least a bit "serious".

Thanks Andy :)

The older guys are where my heart lies for sure.  I was more impressionable in 1990 than I am now, and they were the Arbites at the time.

I have one of each of those sculpts and they will function as squad leaders or something I think.

Thanks Suber.  That drone that you made is excellent.
