VSF flyer from Ironclad
« on: June 04, 2013, 05:41:42 PM »
Picked this lovely model from Ironclad Miniatures up at Partizan on Sunday, and just had to paint it up.  The original model came with a mast for and is shown with sails; I built a propeller instead.  Without the sail it feels a little bare at the moment, although that does mean some decent space on deck - the model is about 8 inches/20cm long.  I'll have a think about what I can add to it.

Yes, the flying base is made from the stem of a plastic margarita glass ;)

That is really rather good. Ironclad are getting better and better.

Did you pop by the IHMN game while you were at Partizan. I was the fat welsh goon in the white IHMN T-shirt  lol

Ironclad's stuff is lovely, isn't it?

I did have a good nose at the game, but I didn't realise you were there!  You need a "World Famous Author and Gaming Superstar" t-shirt!

I would have brought my copy for an autograph too...

Nice flyer. Maybe have a separate gun on a swivel mount for the deck?

Nice!  :-* A deck gun would look good. Maybe mount it using a rare earth magnet so it can be removed for more figures if desired?

Really nice. I picked one up at Salute and, like their previously released flyer, it is still awaiting paint  :(

Wow, Derek! You said you were burnt out on painting after all the Sedition Wars stuff, and here you are painting something you bought two days ago! lol It's against the rules to be so disciplined!

Very nice work, Sir!
