Lovely stuff  :)

Good idea about using a plastic margarita glass as the stand - question, how stable is it?

Can you put figures anywhere or do they need to be evenly spread across the deck?

Geudens - lovely conversion job!

Rock-solid - it's about 8cm in diameter (the flyer is 20cm long, so almost half the length of the ship), and flares out towards the base.  There's also no danger of it snapping like the smaller GW flight stands.

It separates from the flyer for storage (and I use the bases for other vehicles like my Tau Devilfish and Star Wars stuff) - I've used Araldite to stick a strong Neodymium magnet (1cm diameter) on the top, and another on the base of the flyer.  There's no danger of them separating - it takes a bit of effort to pull the magnets apart, so you can stand as many figures as you like on it.

Should anyone else pick this up, I should like to request a 'before' piccie. Be nice to see the pieces laid out.

As an aside, I should like to give kudos to Tobsen77 for doing so.

I'm assuming the lower hull and upper ramparts are separate, but just where the 'deck' is molded, attached or on its own, is of interest to me.

Cracking!

That's a nice find but I think I'd like to see it with the sail.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Doug - the kit consists of:

Main pieces:
Flat deck (about 0.5 cm thick - you can see on the photo where it doesn't quite fit with the pieces on top of it.  Detailed on the sides and top only);
Lower hull (significantly smaller than the deck, so you can't see the join in these photos - it leaves quite a wide area around it on the underside of the deck);
Front gunwale/upper deck;
Back gunwale/upper deck.

I stuck these pieces together with superglue, flipped the lot upside down and left it for three hours with a 4-pint milk carton on top :)

Details:
Control panel;
2 ailerons;
Mast holder;
2 wooden dowels for the mast.

The propeller is made from a Dreamforge MULE sensor dome and 4 GW "pirate" style sword blades from the Empire Militia set ;)

I pinned the ailerons and  propeller to the main body.

Melnibonean - it's on the front page at http://www.ironcladminiatures.co.uk/

Momotaro, it is said that one picture is worth a thousand words, but you certainly did the work in far fewer. Comes to me quite clearly!

Much thanks!

Thanks for the advice, I  will give it a go.

Blodwin - I got mine from a party supplies shop.  Look for plastic glasses with stems that separate from the bowl at the top, so no sawing is required.

Cheers,

Derek
