Beau Geste and all that..Blue Moon French Foreign Legion

Here's what I've been working on the last week or so. Just finished the bases yesterday. While the Blue & White may not be 100% historical for the campaign these will be involved in you just have to paint them in the Hollywood/Beau Geste style!

Most of the figures are 15/18mm Blue Moon while the command bases and the Spahis are Minifigs. Found the Blue Moon a bit of a pain to clean up - mold lines in awkward places. Apart from that and inconsistent webbing they were a pleasure to paint.

I notice that you went with multiple figure bases. What rules are you planning to use with them?

We'll start off with Black Powder as we've had many a fun game with Egyptians vs Ansar/Hadenowah. Have to see how that goes as the regular European troops are a different kettle of fish to the poor old Gendarmerie & Bashi Bazouks of the Egyptian army.

Very nice.  Yeah, the blue and white is de rigeur in my Beau Geste!  Now that's a double entendre intended -- I think!
