Sub-Roman Companions - Arthur's "Knights"
« on: June 11, 2013, 02:18:37 PM »
First part of my Sub-Roman Dux Brit army has arrived!

These are West Wind armoured sub-Roman spearmen. These are lovely figures to work with - and there's plenty more where these came from as reinforcements!

Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe, hammer to fit, paint to match!

Nice painting - and a really nice watch tower too! Was that painted by your good self as well or shop bought?

Odo,

Thanks very much. The tower was built and painted by me. There's a two part how-to on the blog if you fancy having a go yourself :)

They do look very pretty.
I like the shields and variation - to me the Chi-Rho is what makes 'em look Late/Post/Sub Roman/o British. Or whatever we're supposed to call these inhabitants of the Early Medieval/Dark Ages.
