Aha! I guessed it might be those ceiling tiles. Nice to see that they work well for this!

Nervous Nelly comment: Be careful, as some old tiles have asbestos; tiles are relatively stable, but cutting can raise some nasty dust.

Hmmmm...

Having a lady of the house who loves crafts can be useful, as most such stores have a feminine atmosphere. 'Just here with the lady...'; I'm oft checking out the wedding cake items for ionic columns of various height.
