Lorica, Deposed Goddess
« on: June 19, 2013, 07:23:41 PM »
Coinciding with the fall of Carthage came a visitor from the stars, a psionic alien woman with no discernable past or ambitions.  She allowed herself to be proclaimed a goddess after inadvertently flying through the streets of Corinth - it seemed fun and was the easiest way through the otherwise embarrassing situation.

She was a lousy goddess, but at least she was better than those lame Vesta or Proserpina chicks, not that it was all that difficult to do.  She dabbled around as Goddess of War, but discreetly lest Mars and Bellona turn out to be real.

One can neither confirm nor deny her culpability in the defeat of Crassus by the Parthians, but nevertheless the enraged survivors of the legion turned on her, bound her with chains and subdued her will with an ancient Egyptian artifact.  She was brought along when the legion was sold into slavery to the galactic trading consortium, much to everyone but her cruel amusement.  Now thrallbound, she aids the soldiers as they fight on distant worlds for their new masters.

Figure made with parts from Reaper Miniatures, Wargames Factory, and Warlord games.  Converted and painted by me, though the camera and lighting did not cooperate.  Also, I appear to have forgotten how to paint smooth skin.  Oh well, it was fun anyway.
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

Hm, interesting idea. Depending on where this is going the topic might be better suited to other parts of the forum, we'll see. In the meantime, carry on. ;)

Well, she was made to go with either my Greeks or my Romans, but do as you feel is best.

Neat back story and conversion.  :)

Will you be using your Romans in a sci-fi game then?
