North American plantation
« on: June 23, 2013, 03:28:06 PM »
goodday gents,

I finished my plantation house. it is a mdf kit by Sarissa Precision. Had to do the shingles myself (made them from thin card)

Very, very nice. Like the dirty spots under the window sills and the planting around the base. Shouldn't the climber be covered in some sweet smelling flower(honeysuckle, jasmine or magnolia) though? Doubt if the lady of the plantation will fully enjoy sitting out supping her mint juleps without a bit of floral scent on the evening breeze.

Really well done, colors look pretty authentic from what I've seen on my visits to the South.

Seems almost a pity to have to burn it down but one has to do what is right.  :D

Lovely work and I'm grateful for the heads up, that looks like it might usefully transfer to the Caribbean with a little modification. One question. Is the chimney that runs along the back  a separate item?

Chimney stack is separate - a 2mm thick piece of MDF.
