Nuclear Renaissance and the Tome of Tridlins
« on: June 24, 2013, 11:24:50 AM »

Well, I have released the expansion for Nuclear Renaissance called The Tome of Tridlins. Its got loads of stuff in it and basically "finishes off" the game. Its the campaign rules, plus massively expanded options list. Its got rules for pretty much every kind of gang you might want to play. Zombies, mutants, animals, robots, military gangs etc etc.

The thing that makes it different from other games (the USP) is that its build around playing with more than two players. Its works fine with anything from 2 to 10 players at a time. This coupled with the extensive gangs deign rules means its great for club play!

There is more detailed blurb in the shop entry. The best value option is the £30 combo deal, which gets printed copies of the rule book and the expansion, plus 5 figures of your choice:

And the cheap option is the electronic option. The core rules are free and the Tome of Tridlins is £5:

I recieved my books today, from the Kickstarter Campaign. They look great. I can't wait to make up a few gangs and play some more NR.

We have been talking about trying out a few Rogue Trader style games using these rules with the old RT space pirates and such.

Well, it should work fine! If you want to run more gun heavy games, it might be worth tweaking the rules slightly. Give players a "gun budget" along side their starting points.

I think it will work fine.

We have previously played post apocalypse with these rules and already used lot of old Citadel miniatures at that point with no problems.

While we like the 40K universe and the miniatures, we don't really like the rules that much.

Haha, yes I concur. That was one of my motivations for writing Nuc Ren.

Erm, I handt really thought about it. The game  is designed for group play from the ground up.

However, I have never played solo table-top games. What sort of things do you look for in a solo game? I quite like Space Hulk, which is basically a solo game: its hard to beat the genestealers. Is this the sort of thing you look for, a strong scenario, where it takes good tactics to complete, like a video game?
