Dark Age 2013 Rules Posted.
« on: August 22, 2013, 05:53:42 PM »
The core rules for Dark Age 2013 are now available. We are doing some of the illustration coloring for this game and even if you don't get into the rules the artwork and miniatures are outstanding.

another Recommendation for this Game from me  :) The Minis aren't cheap but then you'll need only a dozen or so for a good sized Game. The Gameplay is very fast and deadly and easy to learn  :)

my Brood warband

The Scale varies from Faction to Faction, overall DA Minis are fairly bigger than the average 28mm Mini  ;D

Goth?  Check.

Spikes? Check.

Chainsaw swords? Check.

Impractical for combat, exhibitionist dressed women? Check.

Scale not used by others?  Check.  (Well, it appears that way.)

Wasn't this done before?  Check.

Okay the miniatures have reasons to appeal to some, just not me.

Good luck but no thanks.

Gracias,

Glenn

As I recall, they are something like 32mm which may have been a bit unusual back in the day (it's a very old game tho for some reason it never became popular -- maybe WARMACHINE stole its thunder?) but today pretty much everybody's doing that or even larger. They were just ahead of their time 8)

I bought a bunch of dark age miniatures for my post apoc last year. Only the cyborg/monster factions are oversized, the regular human factions fit with most 28-30mm ranges.

Dark Age has been around for a *while.* If anything, the mega-sized stuff from Eden & Malifaux & all the other 32mm cheesecake eye candy figure lines are copying off Dark Age.
