That's the build part finished. The canopy 'skirt' looks a bit rough in the pics but I think it'll paint up fine.

That should paint up just lovely, mate.
I understand that GS is deceptive.

That is a mighty fine bit of work there, sir.
Somebody should be very happy!

A couple of years later on holiday oin Crete I had the chance to hire a Moke. I have never (in my whole life) enjoyed driving anything half as much! The clutch was appallingly stiff but I put up with that for the sheer joy of it. We drove all over the east of the island and driving throughthe mountains - at night on unlit and dodgy roads was scarey fun.

Arguably our best ever holiday and mainly down to the Moke.

We did the same thing in Crete around 2002. A yellow one I think. Briliant fun. Everyone giving us funny looks...
So much to do, so little time...

There's a Moke diecast? :o

And I was looking to find something I could use as a replacement or fascilism for the personnel carriers in UFO. Gerry Anderson had two of them converted for the show (and they ended up in other productions as well of course), with an extra axle added to the rear and some futuristic bodywork.

Now I might try and find an affordable copy to emulate the UFO one, although I fear it will not be nearly as smooth and good looking as your Prisoner version.

Awesome work sir; your builds never fail to amaze and this one is not disappointing my/our expectations again! 8)

Is this the prelude to a whole Prisoner setup (of the buyer's) or a one-off?

I never saw The Prisoner (never aired here in the Netherlands to my knowledge), but isn't that the series with that huge white ball gobling up (or something) people? If so, a simple pingpong ball might be all that's needed... lol

I'm going to e the lucky recipient of Andy's fine work, and very excited I am about it too!  :D

I bought the diecast from eBay a couple of months ago – I think I paid about £4 for it. Mint cars cost an arm and a leg, but the beaten-up ones like this come up pretty frequently.

Is this the prelude to a whole Prisoner setup (of the buyer's) or a one-off?

It's a small project, but it's taking me some time as all my stuff is in storage at the moment! For minis, Crooked Dice do a few decent analogues, some more from Artizan's Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Range, plus a handful from other sources. Eureka do penny farthings, and then there are the obligatory ping pong balls!  lol

In terms of scenery, I'd love to get Andy to recreate the whole of Portmeirion in 28mm, but I'm not quite sure I have the budget for that at the moment!  :o

Dinky released the Prisoner Mini-Moke in May 1969 - he original price was 6/9 . It was available at 1:44 scale,

The one you have there, is more than likely the regular Dinky Mini-Moke - the only difference really being was the plastic parts and the Penny Farthing sticker on the Bonnet.

Cracking job already Andy, that is going to look superb

Steve Flowers does repro parts for the Dinky one if anyone is looking to go the battered repair route.

Item 106 in his catalogue

I have done half a dozen code 3's for folk over the years, I probably have some homemade decals of the penny farthing logo for the bonnets somewhere but god knows where
