Thanks, lads. In fact, I'm not very happy how some details on the emperor turned out, some things went wrong (helmet, boots etc.), I had to repaint his hair and finally I was annoyed a bit so he was becoming actually a quick painting job without too much fine higlighting. Whatever, it's still a nice miniature and this is diverting a bit from my sloppy painting :)

I can see where you lost the love for this figure but it's hardly sloppy Alex and the other two are superb  8)

It doesn't make much sense to start a new topic for these guys as I don't think I will be back at Assyrians that soon, therefore I've posted them to this omnibus thread. The guys are a part of my old, never painted, Assyrian army, the miniatures are from Wargames Foundry, sculpted by Alan and Michal Perry. It's such a pitty the brothers make no Ancients any more  :'(

Roman Emperor Lucius Verus followed by a Primus Pillus and another Centurion.

Very nice paintjob... but why a figure in helmet would also carries an helmet in his arms? :?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

He's just on his way to our Bazaar :)

Actually he's the bodyguard of my other Emperor, Marcus Aurelius:

I'm gearing up for a little Romano-British game/campaign and I love your painting style. Even if the figures are not the right theatre they are still giving me ideas  :)

cheers
