Updated! One more code to photograph, one more Fomorian to get, and they are done!

BTW, this Fomorian, on the right:

If anyone has one, I'm interested!

I've always thought the Celtic Myth line as a text book example of a miniatures range going downhill.
Bob Olley's sidhe and fomor as well as being the first releases were also the best imo, I can remember my disappointment opening Games master international mag and seeing the milesians, and thinking mehhh, and being even more disappointed with the casting quality, too many lopsided faces.

I liked those early releases too, but I do own the Milesian King on the shield and love the sculpt. I really should get round to painting it....

IIRC Steve Blease did a feature about wargaming Celtic myth in GMI, and he suggested modelling moustaches onto Citadel's Elf Wardancers to use as Sidhe.

EDIT: I'd be tempted to use Renegade Miniatures' Celts from the Punic Wars ranges as Milesians if I ever got round to wargaming Celtic Myth.

I think I wrote that article.  8)

I've still got the mustachioed Citadel Elf Wardancers. I was a keen Celt o'phile  back then, and it was the Elf Wardancer project that was part of why I nagged Mac to do a Celtic Myth range whilst at Alternative Armies.

It's all coming back to me now we are going over some of the same ground with 'Of Gods and Mortals' for Osprey Publishing.

Do keep up and read the posts properly.  ;D Nick (I thought it was Steve Blease) wrote an article and suggested addind moustaches to Citadel Elven Wardancers to use as Sidhe.

I never photographed them, but they look ace. It was the original JG elf wardancers, with a miliput mustache stuck on  lol

See the next phase of my Army Painter's thread. They are a great fit w/ the AA minis, and should paint up quickly and well! (I hope! ::))
