We really need a list on here of stuff that is available... outside of that present day rubbish, that is. I struggle to keep track of who does what nowadays, especially when you guys keep it on a strictly 'need to know' basis.

;)

Ok, I'll bite. New thread?
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

Ok, I'll bite. New thread?

That's very good of you.  :)

I was going to begin it myself, but you have a better grasp of what is out there anyway. I'll happily put it up as a sticky and share the editing as people (hopefully) chip in.

Can I suggest that it's done as a full list, even where no models are available? That way it also acts as a wish list. Perhaps break it down by country of origin, rather than model manufacturer?

Your call obviously, seeing as you are doing the work.  ;)

This is a superb idea - more or less what I started this thread wanting to know.

As a rough guide and being somewhat realistic between what I would be prepared to pay and what I'm likely to be asked to pay...

For a resin model, with perhaps metal detail bits, I would expect to pay around R.120 - R.150 (£8-£10) for something the size of a Jeep or Land Rover, R.150 - R.220 (£10-£15) for a small truck, small APC, or armoured car, R.220 - R.300 (£15-£20) for a large truck, large APC, or small tank, R.300 - R.380 (£20-£25) for a tank. I hope I got the conversion right! Particular vehicles will obviously be exceptions to the general categories, but R.120 to R.380 is pretty much the bracket for almost everything for me.

Obviously quality costs and while I might go above these prices on occasion, it becomes more of a question as to whether I really need the more expensive items.

personally I would consider these to be very good prices. I would probably go 10-20% higher that these.

You saying I'm tight???  >:(

;) Fair comment Rob, although I did say I'd make exceptions if the quality was right. Consider them ballpark figures then.  :)
