Hi, I'm Shaun and I'm a Wargamer
The eighties ended with the end of DnD and the beginning of Rogue Trader. A levels got fluffed and work began.... North London Wargames Group and Enfield Wargames Group were found
The nineties began with NLWGs 28mm Napoleonics and ended with an 800 Figure commission for Stephen and Matilda forces for the P&S Demo game, in between came marriage and a son and an end to ACW and WW2 re-enacting. 10mm made its first appearance with GW Warmaster figures on staff discount, key timer hours working at GW Enfield
The noughties came with the arrival of LARP and new found misery of singledom and long range fathering. Gaming moved to the Minotuars Head and then Ponders End wargames Club, Fantasy, 40k moved over for AWI, Zulus, ACW Armies, painted and sold, repainted and resold.... Repeat until Perry Plastic arrives... Commissions flowed slowly and Bring n Buys found most of my painted armies as trends moved like the winds... 10mm found historically with PenDraken and Old Glory
And finally now... Still painting, still playing, Enfield Gamers is the place and current trends are DreadBall and ACW, still LARPing and still looking for the elusive set of Napoleonic rules...
hello everyone
Shaun, wargames addict
