The demented General Vlad Basarab....
« on: May 05, 2008, 01:40:52 PM »
This is the first of my pulp villians. An insane Romanian General has retired to the Carpathian mountains after becoming mentally ill after the horrors of WW1.But reports especially over the last months state that he has employed dozens of German veterans as his bodyguards and is training many of the new 'Iron guard' fighters at his fortified castle Ferenzy deep in the wilds of the woods.British spy Burton 'Hotspur' Hakin has been sent to gather information but we have lost contact with Whitehalls finest.

And one of his deluded Iron guard lackies....

But the teeth, the demeaner the brutal tactics....it couldn't be...could it?The man himself?Surely not...............

Awesome, more photos please :)  Great looking face on the General. Is he a conversion of an existing Copplestone mini?

I love these guys!  Vampires make great Pulp villians and they are so much more wide spread than things like mummies.  You can put them almost anywhere.

Splendid figure! For some reason he reminds me of Rik Mayall :?

Giving a standard figure a vampire head is a great idea, though and one I will consider using myself in my VSF/Horror games.

Ahh, I thought I recognised the head from somewhere.

I have the original, although the hair is much longer on the Ravenloft figure and bizarrely I did exactly the same thing as you and transplanted the head
Here is my version:

Nice idea to give him a more respectable 1920's shortback and sides. A terrifc idea. :)
