I guess it was quicker
FFP must have dropped
preorders off at the PO on the way to GenCon,
my copy came Aug20th-about a month before I expected it.
The components are outstanding, the plastic figs are among the best I've seen
.The map looks small but IMO really sets the early 19th Century mood & game wise its big enough to play on without
things stacking up.
The rules are a little deeper than FFP Last Night on Earth but
seem to be clearer than LNoE(first game learning curve ..I guess)
I'm saving this for late Sept as the game just seems to call for
crisp Fall weather, mulled cider & ginger snap cookies
.
Again A CD was included of orginal music to enhance the game mood.
Frankly ,just like the one in LNoE it doesn't do it for me.It has
a driving beat to the music which make trying to concentrate
on a game impossible & of course can't really set a mood as its
impossilbe to play the game in sequence to the music.
Your doing something mundane like moving along a road &
you get this big build up & occasional odd vocals which
just don't match up :?Its a shame as obviously FFP puts
a lot effort into the CD's but so far they are more anoying
than anything..oh well the game is great & thats all that really matters.
