The Brügelburger King
« on: July 14, 2013, 07:22:48 PM »
I like strange fantasy settings like a combination of some 'modern' ideas in medieval or classic fantasy worlds and had some problems with other LARPers in the past which didn't share my sort of humor.

I don't think I will have thess problems with the guys I use to game with and after painting a couple of Landsknechts Orcs (and my first real Bruegelburg mini) I decided that I needed some terrain to play with them.

After a day at work together with my brother we had an (in our opinion) fantastic idea:

Every city, town or village - fantasy or real - needs a fast food restaurant  ;)

And what would a couple of Orcs serve if you gave them enough money to open their own shop? Burgers, I think, are the thing all Orcs like!

After they found the small, old and abandoned 'Brügelburger Brauhaus' they could start the business!

Here are the first pictures of the new shop, and some of my orcs!

I will have the dragon burger meal, with a side of fries and a stout.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

You'll need a giant pan & a fried egg as well, just in case there's a storm coming up...

Quite like the idea of Orcs selling burgers. Looking at the shouty one, I doubt customers would dare complaining about limp burger buns or rock hard chips/ fries that taste like a chunk of lard out of fear they might end up being served as main dish next.
sanity is for cowards

And now you need to add a pig pin, a Bucher block and a big fat lonely cow tired up out back. Brugelburger king, don't ask, its flesh!  lol

Now you're cooking! That's a VERY IMAGINATIVE/CREATIVE piece...I need one for my Spooky woods. Building & minis are BEAUTIFULLY DONE!

Now this definitely makes for an amusing change in scenery.

Oh how lovely  :-* Giving the bugler the greenish skin is an amazing idea, works perfectly with the Foundry bigger ones. And the house is a such great creation. Thumbs up, Ben, thumbs up!

Thank you, guys!

I already have some other ideas that I will probably start with tonight...
But I think the giant pan and the pigs will also follow soon! ;)

There will be a parkinglot for horses (and maybe dragons and wyrms as well? ;D ) and maybe a 'gas'station for them.

I like the idea, it reminds me of that brilliant plays of words found in Oldhammer. And it's a great model too.

PS: Hint: In case you are in need of cooks: Excalibur Miniaturen does some female Orks with cooking spoons.
