« on: July 14, 2013, 07:35:32 PM »
How big are WG Celts? Foundry size? BTD size? Renegade Size?

Here' hopping they're not Foundry size :)

Also WG Celtic Chariots any good? not bothered about the riders/driver just the actual chariot and horses? :D

I can't help you on the Celts mate however if you pop on over to the big red bat cave blog he's done a pretty good comparison of the readily available chariots including wargames factory.

Shaun, as far as i know the WF celts are comparable to their Romans which are rather large:

I cannot really help out on the size question as I don't own anything from any of the comparison companies you mentioned.   I can tell you the chariots worked really well for me when I used them for a conversion project a while back.  They go together fairly well, do not fall apart, and look okay when you are done with them.  I will say that the horses are a bit on the smaller side but not being that concerned about horse size it does not bother me much.

I can't give you a comparison with any of the manufacturers you listed, sorry  :'(

But I do have a set of the WGF Celts and a bunch of Warlord's plastic Celts, and snapped a quick comparison of those two ranges, which may be helpful?

As you can see, I'd say scale-wise they're pretty compatible, although the WGF ones are noticeably less detailed.  They do come in some nice poses, though, whereas while dynamic, I found the Warlord set to get a big redundant.
