More painting practice, an old Citadel pre-slotta Norse.
« on: July 17, 2013, 11:14:12 AM »
If I had my time over I would fix the eyes and tone down the colour of the leggings, but I will do that on the next figure ... got to think production line. ;)

Hopefully soon I will be happy enough to get stuck into Howard's lovely Tekumel figures.

Cheers!

Whatever little faults you've found are unnoticeable to moi. Your nice subdued paint scheme & brushwork are OUTSTANDING...GREAT WORK!

Nice work, Joe! Beautiful muted tones (I think the eyes look fine and I'm usually pretty critical about that kind of thing...).

Fantastic style! I'm in love with the straw-colored hair! Do you have any secrets to share about that?

Thanks for all the comments. Although I still don't like the eyes, 'less' is definitely 'more' when it comes to eye size ...

The hair is simply white with a bit of Burnt Umber to get the main colour and a bit more to make the shading wash, with the main colour then applied to highlight areas again.

Cheers!
