Here's a bunch of new 28mm Revolutionary Napoleonic troops by Eureka to continue expanding their healthy French, Russian and Austrian lines.
The Austrian cavalry now have Hussar and Uhlans to complement the earlier releases of dragoons and chevaux leger. Both sets come with charging or at rest poses. The Uhlans have the very short kzapka of the early period which may weird out those used to the later high topped ones. As with the earlier Austrian cavalry releases there is no standard bearer, but I can't have cavalry without a flag so I snip a sword off a trooper and replace. The trumpeters for the Hussars have a sculpting problem in that they don't sit neatly enough onto the horses in my opinion. It doesn't bother me and abit of trimming with a knife will fix it, but I do know some people are very particular and this may annoy them. I've yet to email Eureka and offer my opinion, but I will do that shortly in case they feel they may want to re sculpt it slightly.
The Russians finally get some artillery with a medium 12lb canon and 4 crew.
The French, aside from have a couple random infantry codes filled in, also get a set of casualty figures just perfect for placing in front of your Austrian guns
They are very dynamic and would make a great diorama piece.
