Savage Worlds is a great miniature friendly light RPG system.  I've used it for a number of game settings.

Just got back from a week's camping with wife and kids on the outskirts of Aarhus; thanks for the replies, now I have some things to read and maybe a couple of purchases to do.

In the meantime, I have decided to start with Pike & Shot and Zombies, with some twists and racial adjustments to use for Warhammer: Apocalypse Z.

Reasons:
  • I already purchased PSZ a couple of years ago
  • Building up a small horde of Mantic Zeds that can easily be used for modern zombie games will also help me get back on tracks with my Dead Walk Again project
  • I can continue building up a collection of fantasy/medieval scenery for multiple uses - including the adventuring game I'll end up using
  • I really like zombie games  :D

I shall read Cavern Crawl during the coming week (I still have a week left of my vacation) and take some notes along the way for feed-back. The heat wave is still on, but I think I can find some shadow to relax and read in....
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

We are working on a more RPG/Narrative type of option for Epic Heroes called Band of Heroes.  It will probably become a micro supplement for EH later this year, after the main supplement has been released.

If you do take a look at CC please be aware that the jumping rules on page 7 have been adjusted. See HERE for the revision.

Heroes and Other Worlds...

http://heroworlds.blogspot.ca/

It's one of several  games based upon Metagaming's "Melee" and "Magic" micro-games  and the "In the Labyrinth" RPG.

Also "Barbarians of Lemuria" might work.

A lot depends upon how you want magic to work.
