LOTR 60mm 'magazine 'figures
« on: July 22, 2013, 08:45:25 PM »
Evening Gents
A box of around 100 60mm LOTR figs has arrived at The Bunker. They are the figs that came with the collectable magazine.
How much are these toys worth & are any of them in a 'rare' bracket?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Shaun in The Bunker
I spent alot of money on strong drink & toy soldiers - the rest I just wasted...

I thought the smugglers usually brought you brandy and Flemish lace?

Not in Darkest Newark Gary - its Lead all the way
Sorry no joy on the Mexican front - I drew a complete blank on Mayan 'artifacts' In fact the Monolith stuff is far better than the Mexican tourist trade!

Don't try to bluff your way out of it - I've been to Newark often enough to see the sloops and cutters running up the Trent :~}

Shame about the Mayans though.

Don't know where the 60mm figures come from as those added with the magazines were 28mm non-heroic scaled?

I can't think of some that are rare but could be wrong about the rarity of some miniatures, they are quite cheap and commonly available at ebay and other places.

I hope that helped a bit.  ;)

Are they the chess pieces that came out in an Eaglemoss partwork (not the 28mm GW figures in Battlegames in Middle Earth)?

The chess pieces are painted and on a decorative plinth.  And bigger.

A quick look on Ebay ("lord rings chess") shows they may well be worth something.

Hi Gents
They are the Eaglemoss figures (not the chess pieces)
Best place to see them is   www.lotr-models.co.uk

The great beast and watcher look good.
Do you just have one of each and do they count as foot or mounted?
