I'm always looking for stuff like this... Chinese statues, Buddhas, Greek stuff... I never find any though. Nice find!

Really, a great find; I do browse the knick-knacks every visit, but spend most time in the toy section. I assume folks take one look at me, and think 'old greybeard on the hunt for his grandchildren.' 

They can find their own goodies! lol

I might be totally off but I think that it's a signature stamp. One of the stores in our local mall, the same one that sold shuriken and nunchaku, used to sell them. You carve your signature character into the bottom and use it to sign documents.

Or use it for wargame terrain. Either way.
