Indeed!

I believe that Ironwind Metals were quite happy to keep producing the existing range for him but some of the sculpts are starting to show their age a little. I'd love to have seen some new Growler sculpts that matched the concept art a bit better too.

Part of the problem is that to produce a game like Vor to the standard that Fasa did, its more than a one man operation and will need considerable cash spent on sculpts and artwork.

Still you never know, Vor may yet re appear, especially following the rise of Warzone from the depths of out of production, especially as its got some really great and original forces and its a shame that they didn't all get fully realised such as the Pharon and the Golems!

There are some lovely paint jobs going on here :) ... the gloss look on the shards is brilliant!

I take it that everyone knows that Ral Partha Europe still sells VOR:

Got a few Golem Prototypes somewhere, no Mashers though - and the LE "Crystal" Sniper that New Wave did.

IWM Exclusives?? Clarify?

I do think Vor deserves to be revamped but I think the creator of the game is unwilling to partner with anyone else to get funding or ensure the game is rereleased.

Sadly even the Vor forum has been shut down and his website stagnated too...
Yeah, this was the biggest issue, I think.  Skuzzy doesn't want to loose his grasp on the property even a little this time.  Which, I can understand, all things considered, but it is keeping him from re-emerging with it.  Taking down the forum and not interacting with the existing fans was the final nail in that coffin.

He also was seemingly unwilling to budge on getting new sculpts made.  They are nice, but most are severely showing their age.  They need redone to compete in the modern market.  The Shard are pretty much the only ones I would consider acceptable for the current market, and even those could use some revamping.

Agreed - I would heavily invest in New Stuff should things get going again. Vor, and Starship Troopers are perhaps my favourite Sci Fi Miniatures games of all time.

These are feeling very happy in their new home - my figure cabinet - when not in combat  ;D
