The Angel Barracks 6mm gallery thread
« on: August 01, 2013, 11:56:32 PM »
I have decided to create a master thread of my 6mm KR 16 goodies.

KR 16 is a free set of rules available from my website that are aimed at 6mm sci-fi skirmish.

http://angelbarracks.co.uk/Rules/rules.html

You can of course change centimetres to inches and make them 15mm or 25mm...

To kick it off then is the first batch of piccies, the base camp of the RDF.

Camp Juliet, the temporary home of the RDF (Regional Defence Force)

The main bunker houses the troopers and support staff whilst the other buildings are used as storage and a generator.

The roof of the bunker has PILUM smart missiles which can be deployed against ground and air targets.

Foamcore bags and barbed wire are also used as makeshift defences.

Checkpoint Charlie sits a hundred yards to the front of the main entrance and is manned at all times.

Jurapeds seen here in the distance act as target practice and food.

Not all local wildlife however is as harmless as the Jurapeds; some bugs swarm and attack the camp.

Welcome to Camp Juliet!
Praise Be To Apis!

Anvil Gate did not start out as was intended.

It is all that survived from the Commercial Fleet Vessel the Marco Polo when it crashed onto the planet’s surface.

The Marco Polo was actually carrying colonists bound for Kometenmelodie along with all the supplies needed to start a small settlement, however it did not enter the atmosphere correctly and burnt up, most of the passengers and supplies were lost.

The only ones to survive were those that managed to escape in the emergency life rafts.
The number of survivors was small, around 40 in total.

The survivors made it to their chosen planet, but in much worse shape than intended.

However they are a stoic bunch and made the best of it.
The habitation units are actually their life rafts and the settlement walls are made from the reinforced hull plating they managed to recover.
The inhabitants harvest the valuable seeds of the Deema plants.
They trade this with an off world merchant ship that arrives every 4 months for day to day supplies.
It is so named as it sits in at the gateway into the Anvil Mountains.

Junker Drilling Station

The Junkers extract fuel from Kometenmelodie as do many, including the BPI.
Though the Junkers drilling is much more low key and no where near as cost efficient.

Here is a typical small drilling rig.

Here is the owner of this rig; Donna Red.

Her chief mechanic, Leon Stilton

Currently deciding whether I should start sculpting a line of figures in 6mm or 15mm for fun mroe than anything.. This might have just tipped the scales in favour of 6mm.

I'd love to see greys in the same vein as the old Griffin range. Very mean, nasty looking ones.
