I also also had to do a Google image search, it also included this:

- Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Yeah run them with a Iyanden Spiritseer and they become devastating, but enough gaming more painting!!

LOL.  Neither the wraithknight nor the ripetide are my cup of tea, if i wanted a big robot I would go with a gundam or something

Wraithguard all finished, Matte varnished and ready for gaming

Yes there is a £30 Iyanden suppliment you have to buy ontop of the eldar codex....which muggins here purchased.  But even without the Iyanden book you can take a Spiritseer as a HQ choice and it makes Wraithguard and Wraithblades troop.  750 points

Hold on a minute!
You mean that not only do you have to buy their overpriced figures, the rules and a Codex, but you have to buy another book at £30 on top of all that?

Always room for improvement :)

glow sticks and E all round...........have to spike Baggy next time we see him and sit back and laugh

Not bad for someone who doesn't care much for Eldar.  lol

:) The bright colours are a nice change from grimey more realistic painting i do on the Imperial Giard.

Ack. I've just seen the extra spirit stones on the weapons lol

tell me about it about 30-40 bloody gems on each model......yet I remain sane, I credit zen meditation for me not currently eating the face of my neighbour

you don't actually have to do anything thing called free will :P  You don't need the iyanden book to play an iyanden themed army.  I personally wanted the book for art work etc as I have a thing for art books, sadly I got a little stung as there is not even much art but you live and learn, probably will never buy a "suppliment" codex ever again :)

Done some work on the Crimson Hunter this evening, got a load of done too.  Just the engines, weapons, transfers and matte varnish to get done.  Hopefully should be done tomorrow.

Then it will just be the two characters and I am ready for the tournament

Lush paint jobs, please tell me you use airbrush for those smooth gradients? :o

Also, I especially dig the dusty reddish bases, nice earthy contrast - looks like maybe you're using pigment powders for dusting?

THanks pal.

it has grown on me, sort of like the F16 or eurofighter.  But for me there is only one decent flyer GW produce.....the Valkyrie/Vendetta kit, probably why I am halfway through numbers 3 and 4 :)

yes yes and yes.  :)  airbrush the basegradients but I also got the haired brush out last night to add a few glazes to the yellow to change the levels of contrast in certain areas.  I could get the same smoothness with a brush it is just a darn sight faster and more convenient for a tabletop gaming army with an airbrush even if you have a little less control than you do with a haired brush

Fantastic!

One day I will do the airbrush thing, one day.  Work like this makes me want to go and spend a fortune on the equipment, but having some one who knows what they are doing show you how to get over the initial hump is the most important thing I reckon.

Your Exeter mate is lucky to be able to pick your brains.

The Farseer is the part of the project that I am looking forward to seeing most.  Even unpainted it looks lovely.
