The Conjuring
« on: August 05, 2013, 07:57:09 AM »
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on James Wan's new movie the Conjuring? I saw it last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. I find the more occult side of Catholicism fascinating and this movie was in no short supply of that. In my opinion it's the best horror movie I've seen since the exorcist which is pretty damn good.

I guess there are not too many on here who have seen it.

I will keep an eye out for it appearing on the box.
Thanks for the tip-off.

I quite enjoyed it. Personally I preferred it to Insidious after the whole Tenacious D devil thing appeared and ruined a terrifying film. This was good. Creepy, well acted withe a decent story behind it. Best horror I've seen in a long while.

I hate it when films do that. Jeepers Creepers was fairly chilling right up until the moment the monster appeared and it turned into a Buffy episode. I've not seen the Conjuring yet, but I have heard good things about it

I like movies like Cabin in the Woods because there's no light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone dies, and you leave the cinema feeling a little depressed.
